Ardingly Parish Council Clerk Vacancy
Ardingly Parish Council is looking to appoint a Clerk with the drive, determination and organisational skills to manage a varied workload. Working 18 hours a week mostly from home and attending evening meetings. Salary scale SCP 27 – £12.82 per hour. Responsibilities will include preparation of agendas, attendance at meetings and production of minutes, advising the Council on matters of local council law and procedures. In addition to managing the day-to-day work of the Parish Council, the post holder will work closely with Councillors to plan and implement the aims and objectives of the Council.
The ideal applicant will have administrative experience, IT, organisational and inter-personal skills and have knowledge of local government and be able to demonstrate enthusiasm for working with residents and local organisations. If not already in possession of CiLCA (Certificate in Local Council Administration) the Council will require the successful candidate to obtain this qualification by 2021. Please note the Council employs a Responsible Finance Officer as a separate role.
